Fishing Bloopers Vs. Fishing Books: The Better Way to Become a Successful Fisherman

Ah, fishing. What can possibly be said about fishing that hasn’t been said before? There are plenty of reasons this activity has remained one of the favourites when it comes to rest and relaxation in the company of nature. First things first, it gives you the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. Then again, if you’re the solitary kind of fisherman, it’s the perfect opportunity to get to know yourself better and enjoy your own company. Needless to say, one of the main reasons is priding yourself on your skills to catch a healthy meal.

However, as the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and that goes for fishing skills as well. If you don’t spend enough time practising, you can’t expect to be too successful. Practice makes perfect, simple as that. When you start, you understand you learn greatly through mistakes, yet no one has the time to make all the mistakes there are to make to know better so there’s also an additional way you can enhance your skills: learning from others’ mistakes in a fishing bloopers video or reading fishing books.

Fishing bloopers have got to be the most enjoyable way to learn because you don’t only get to see all the tricks, but also have a good laugh. A fishing bloopers video can give you more insight into what not to do than any fishing trip before, you can see which moves are catastrophic for catching fish, how not to react when a big fish is pulling, how not to scare the fish away and how to avoid falling off a slippery boat or ending up in a ditch. This kind of learning proves to be useful is because it’s visual which makes for easier memorising and this is exactly why they’re much more convenient than books.

Fishing books can be resourceful, offering plenty of insight into the best tools to use, tactics and manoeuvres to do, how to catch different types of fish and when and where to go for the best catch, what time of the day as well as what time of the year is most suitable for fishing success, in other words you get the full picture; But in the age of technology, do you really have the adequate time at hand to do all the reading? And most of all, theory is one thing, practice is another. With videos you watch those theories in practice, and see what works and what doesn’t which is why they make the better option and with the many videos to be found online, you can expect to have lots of fun as you learn how to become the master of waters.

Ever since a child, his love for books of mystery, race cars and travelling keeps on growing so it's difficult for him to single out that one all-time favourite hobby. If there's one thing he hates, though, it's having pictures taken but you already guessed that from his choice of plant photo for the blog.
